Membership Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

  1. 1. This policy applies to monthly memberships of Clearline Labour Advisory (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/703740/07), trading as ClearLine Labour Advisory ("ClearLine") and must be read with our Terms and Conditions and our Refunds Policy. ClearLine supplies services only, all delivered electronically through the member portal. No physical goods are supplied or shipped.
  2. 2. A member may cancel their membership at any time by giving ClearLine one calendar month's written notice. Notice must be sent by email to info@clearlinelabour.co.za from the email address registered on the member's account, and takes effect on the date ClearLine receives it.
  3. 3. ClearLine will acknowledge the notice in writing within two business days, confirming the date on which the membership will end.
  4. 4. The membership ends on the last day of the billing cycle in which the one month notice period expires. For example, if a member is billed on the 15th of each month and gives notice on 10 October, the notice period expires on 10 November, and the membership ends on 14 November, the last day of the billing cycle that began on 15 October.
  5. 5. Any monthly fee falling due during the notice period remains payable and will be collected automatically on the usual billing date. No further debits will be made after the membership ends.
  6. 6. The member keeps full access to the benefits of their plan, including monthly allowances, until the membership ends.
  7. 7. Fees are not refundable. See our Refunds Policy.
  8. 8. Cancellation does not extinguish any amount already owing, including arrears on a failed payment. Arrears remain payable in full.
  9. 9. ClearLine's advisory services under the membership, including advisory threads and CCMA matters, end on the date the membership ends. Members with a matter still open should make arrangements before that date. Matters referred to a panel attorney are governed by the member's separate engagement with that attorney.
  10. 10. Members should download any documents and records they wish to keep before the membership ends. ClearLine retains personal information only as set out in its Privacy Policy.
  11. 11. Members may upgrade to a higher plan at any time through the portal. A member who wishes to move to a lower plan must contact ClearLine.
  12. 12. If a monthly payment fails and is not made good within five days, ClearLine may suspend paid features. ClearLine may also terminate the membership on written notice where the arrears remain unpaid, or where the member materially breaches the Terms and Conditions.
  13. 13. The Premier plan has a minimum term of three calendar months, counted from the day the membership became Premier (including an upgrade to Premier). A member may still give notice under paragraph 2 at any time. If a Premier membership ends before the minimum term has run, access ends with the membership and a once-off reactivation fee of R550 is added to the first payment of any new ClearLine membership the member later takes out.
  14. 14. Nothing in this policy limits any right a member has under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, to the extent that either Act applies to that member.
